We ship all of our domestic shipments by UPS or U.S.P.S. depending on your location. To figure estimated shipping and handling, take the after discount figures and multiply by the following percent.

If you live in CA, OR, WA, UT, ID, NV, AZ, MT, WY, CO, NM, you may choose UPS Ground for your order.

CA - add 13% (time in transit: 1-2 business days)

OR,WA, UT, ID, NV, AZ - add 15%
(time in transit: 2-3 business days)

MT, WY, CO, NM - add 17% (time in transit: 3 business days)

If you live in any other state:

Your order will be shipped via The United States Postal Service (USPS).
Time in transit: 2-3 business days.

If you need your order sooner or prefer UPS, you still have the option of UPS Next Day Air, Second Day Air or Three Day Select. If you prefer to have your order shipped via UPS, please indicate this upon placing your order. If no preference is indicated, your order will ship USPS.

Foreign Orders-add 40%

If you order plants by the pound or larger, heavier plants, your shipping total will exceed the percentage listed above. Percentages listed are an estimation of your shipping charges.

Percentages are generally lower on orders over $300.00. You will be charged actual shipping costs on larger orders.

U.P.S. has adopted a fuel surcharge which may increase your shipping charges more than the percentage stated on the order form. This generally occurs on smaller orders or when larger plants are shipped. If this occurs your credit card will be charged a second time to cover these costs. You will not be charged more than it cost us.

Orders for pots, baskets, and shells are shipped by weight. If you order these items by the case or large quantity, your shipping charges may exceed the shipping percentages listed on our order form. You will be charged actual shipping charges on these items. You will not be charged more than it cost us. Cases will be shipped UPS Ground unless you specify otherwise.

Hawaii Orders - UPS Ground - Add 30% (shipping time 3 days)
UPS Second Day - Add 40%

Phyto-Sanitary Certificates-certifies that plants are free from insects and disease.
Phyto-Sanitary Certificates are required for foreign orders. Please check with your local Agriculture Dept. for your current requirements, Import Permit may be required. Import Permits that require a 5 minute chemical dip will incur an additional $100.00 fee. Quarantine Compliance Certificate required for Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Taiwan orders, add $50.00 to posted Phytosanitary Certificate rates.

Our Agricultural Commissioner has recently raised the price of the Phyto-Sanitary Certificate. These are required by almost all foreign countries. They base their price on travel time to and from the nursery (1.5 hours) and the time it takes to inspect and write the document. To offset the increase in Phyto cost, we recommend that you increase the size of your orders. Orders under $400.00 (plant total before shipping and phyto) are no longer cost effective and cannot be accepted. We truly regret this change but have no other choice. Any orders that require agricultural inspection can take up to 7 days to ship.

Although problems occur in less than 1% of all of our shipments, the customer must understand that all plants are shipped at buyer's risk. Tillandsia International is not responsible for damages that occur in shipping: i.e. freezing, heat damage, breakage, delays, etc. These claims must be filed with the carrier. If you order plants by the pound or larger, heavier plants, your shipping total will exceed the percentage listed above. Percentages listed are an estimation of your shipping charges.
