We ship all of our domestic shipments by UPS or U.S.P.S. depending on your location.
To figure estimated shipping and handling, take the after discount figures and multiply by the following percent*:
If you live in CA, OR, WA, UT, ID, NV, AZ, MT, WY, CO, NM- You may choose UPS Ground for your order.
CA, add 13% (time in transit: 1-2 business days)
OR, WA, UT, ID, NV, AZ, add 15% (time in transit: 2-3 business days)
MT, WY, CO, NM, add 17% (time in transit: 3 business days).
If you live in any other state:
Your order will be shipped via The United States Postal Service (USPS). Time in transit: 2-3 business days.
If you need your order sooner or prefer UPS, you still have the option of UPS Next Day Air, Second Day Air or Three Day Select. If you prefer to have your order shipped via UPS, please indicate this upon placing your order. If no preference is indicated, your order will ship USPS.
We are now using Uniheat 72 hour heat packs. These will be used in lieu of our previous winter shipping guidelines to help keep your shipping cost down while still allowing us to ship into colder weather areas.
If your night time low is 25 degrees Fahrenheit or above, we can ship normally. If your night time low is 0-25 degrees Fahrenheit, we will ship UPS 2nd day air using 1 heat pack per box. The total quantity of heat packs we use will be added to your invoice.
2nd day air orders will be shipped Monday-Wednesday only to avoid cold weather conditions over the weekend. You still have the option of UPS next day air for Thursday shipments. Although Uniheat heat packs have a high success rate, they are not a guarantee. All plants travel at customers' risk. Heat packs have a cost of $3.00 per pack (quantity discounts do not apply).
If you order plants by the pound or larger, heavier plants, your shipping total will exceed the percentage listed above. Percentages listed are an estimation of your shipping charges. Percentages are generally lower on orders over $300.00. You will be charged actual shipping costs on larger orders.
U.P.S. has adopted a fuel surcharge which may increase your shipping charges more than the percentage stated on the order form. This generally occurs on smaller orders or when larger plants are shipped. If this occurs your credit card will be charged a second time to cover these costs. You will not be charged more than it cost us.
Orders for pots, baskets, and shells are shipped by weight. If you order these items by the case or large quantity, your shipping charges will exceed the shipping percentages listed on our order form. You will be charged actual shipping charges. You will not be charged more than it cost us. Cases will be shipped UPS Ground unless you specify otherwise.
**Both UPS and U.S.P.S. charge dimensional weight. This means that the package is measured by volume and not weight, i.e. an 8 pound box might be charged 18 pounds because of its dimensions. The percentages quoted for shipping on our web site give you an idea what shipping will cost. They are not firm quotes on shipping. If you order larger plants or plants sold by weight the shipping charges may be higher than the quoted percentages. Give yourself plenty of time. Waiting till the last moment to ship will cost you more in shipping costs. Example: You live in Oregon, It is Monday and you need the plants by Thursday. No problem, use ground service and get your plants Wednesday or Thursday. Need the plant on Tuesday? It will cost you big bucks. The ground service may cost $14.00, the next day service may be $80.00.
